A Hero Defeated in a London Suburb
Past
the fun and booze from the taverns and pubs of Camden Town
I
was scatterbrained and strolling through park in the British capital
When
I spotted a fallen fox on the grassy ground like a soldier fallen
After
an unequal battle with mankind up the creek without a paddle
Lay
defeated unspoilt the fox like a monument nature place to shame
On
us lay the disgrace and gutless murder to a promising fox or vixen
Such
foulness founded in the park into our foul crime in the brave fox
Former
Londinium had foxes, badgers, skylarks and peregrine falcons
Now
London is barren of its creatures and nature only in patches exists
I
wept in silence for the precious copper auburn and white creature beside
So
beautiful in the grass as a wild orange hairy angel fallen from the sky
A
victim of human´s greed, its bravery and fearlessness killed it in the city.
I
wish all foxes in London would never had the same end but live in peace.
The
fox that lie beside was a hero of nature vanquished by the barbaric city.
I
loved it even though it was just a corpse and its figure I will forever
cherish.
